Question

My PM Lissie has a little smudge or cloudy place on one of her eyeballs. I can't tell if it is a scratch or if someone got something on it that stuck to it. Is there anything I can carefully apply to it to remove it if there really is something stuck to it? I know, of course to not let any liquids get into the actual eye socket since they could rust. I was thinking maybe a little alchohol carefully applied with a q-tip.

There's no way I'd send her in for an eye replacement because she has those beautiful soft auburn-colored lashes and vivid green eyes -- I would just live with it. Any thoughts? TIA

I would try the alcohol. I've used it before. Dip the qtip, and then roll it on a paper towel to pick up any excess. You may have to rub pretty hard to remove stickies on the surface, but as long as it's not overly wet and dripping, you shouldn't have any problems.
Remember in Toy Story 2 when the restorationist washes Woody's eyes? That's what this reminds me of.

Heather, that scene in the Toy Story movie is exactly what I was thinking about too! Funny that you should mention it!

I also went on Just Magic Maria's site and she mentions the Twin Pines Formula 9-1-1 which I think is supposed to be okay for eyes. I'm planning to call them up and discuss it with them before I buy the product.

Anyway, thanks so much for the advice, Heather. I remembered that you had done some doll restoration, and I was hoping you'd reply !
